  1. I am being pushed out because i am scared and the USA is better. The journey was difficult and terrifying... I was scared of pirates and the stormy nights they were the worst. Russia was really really really bad and the money there was confusing for a young lad like me. My first impression of America was that it was very free. The cities were big and populated. I loved it! I lived here for one month and I already feel like I belong in this beloved place. -Kevin Dang and Sean Glanny

    1. Be more specific. Pirates were not an issue.

      What was bad about Russia?

You still need three more blogs

  2. 1) I am leaving my nation because i want to see what the big cities like New York are like. A Pull factors are that i have been living in my hometown all of my life and i wanna go expirience the world. A push factor is that i do not know what i will be getting myself into. My country is slowly getting full of people and more people from other countries are coming to my city. I wanna go to USA because i hear that there is alot of good work for children and that their life style is way different than mine and i wanna know how other people live.

  3. Starvation, death, famine. These are the epidemics in which I struggled. My city was filled with death and the stench of decaying flesh rotted the streets. My bones protruding from my mid-section was a good enough reason to go to America itself. I needed to get to America soon. I had finally gathered enough money to get on a boat to America. The long nights were unbearable. The darkness consuming the small cabin. After many, many days I heard the screeching call of seaguls. We made it, I started off in New York. I immediately found that this place was not any better than Russia. With no money, I was living in the slums, with waste all around me. There is no freedom here.

  4. Life in our country is hard. We did a lot of hard work for many hours. I included cooking, laundry, house hold work, and school work. We had to keep up with many jobs such as Newsie, Garment Worker, Chores, and Student. We had to help provide for our families also. We lived with our whole family, so it got very crowded in our tenement, and working for long hours made us tired. On the positive side, in our free time we listened to Victrola, saw movies, and played stick ball. We enjoy this new country because it gives us more freedom, but it requires work to be done.

  5. I am from Italy and I want to go to the United States. I am trying to get out of Italy because they don't appreciate my religious beliefs, also I hear in the United States they have a lot of job opportunities for me. I know that the journey will be dangerous and difficult, but it is going to be worth it in the end. I am really looking forward to being in the United States.

So far in america ive talked to my family about bringing them and and i hope they come, america is alot better then russia much more freedom, jbut hthere are some people who dont like me because im russian.

  8. My family and I are from Italy and we moved because it was getting pretty boring there. I personally wanted to move to the States because there's way more oppurtunities for a young girl like me. My parents reason for moving was that there was freedom in the States. There were too many rules in Italy that I didn't want to follow. Down in America, the people give me funny looks when I walk on the streets and I feel like I don't belong here.

  9. There are many reasons why i am leaving my home nation. One reason is i'm currently living in poverty. Another thing is It's hard to get out of poverty since there arn't many job openings. The last reason is I feel i will be able to turn my life around since in America there is many job openings. I will miss my home nation but i belive it will be the soulution to many of my problems.

  10. I left my country because i was homeless and jobless. also my country was falling apart. Im coming three weeks to get my freedom in america. My country was disgusting and the streets are dirty and i want to get a job. im hoping i can get rich by inventing a product that will make me a captain of my industry.
